A Day Paying Electric Bills at PECO

How convenient is PECO’s bills payment system now?

When you have a house in Iloilo City, your electric bills will be provided by PECO (Panay Electric Company). Since we moved in Jaro last 1994, we had been paying our electric bills at the old PECO office across University of San Agustin. Every payment is a horror due to long waiting lines, small office space, insufficient chairs and sweaty environment.

But not anymore.

Welcome PECO’s new office. This new building was constructed within the Power Plant in General Luna, Iloilo City, sometime around 2011. This has given a new face to the company especially to the service it provides to its paying customers. The wide parking space, to the spacious waiting areas and the entirely sparkly clean office; speak for itself. A consumer even exclaimed: “Naging mas convenient and pagbabayad kasi naging mas malaki at mas maraming silya. Maraming cashiers na pwedeng pagbayaran, kaya mas mabilis. At malakas ang airconditioning.

Wide cemented parking areas at the new PECO office

The new office even came with a faster line for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. A perk that our special and elderly folks definitely enjoy. And the bonus? Its well maintained comfort rooms for consumers. Unlike before that the CR is a taboo, hidden from commoners and payers; until you beg an employee on where you can pee without coming back being 50 persons behind the line again. They even have a dedicated comfort room for persons with disabilities and senior citizens.

Thank you for the commendable improvement on your new office facilities and service PECO. Keep up the good work! If you could lower our electricity rates and lessen the power interruptions, then we will truly love you all together. But for now, we will just contend to be happy with your new office.
